Due to the unpredictability of due dates and birth timelines, my availability for newborn studio sessions is limited. I accept a modest number of newborns each month to ensure clients are accommodated.
For this reason, I highly recommend booking a few months in advance.
A $100 retainer must be paid at the time of booking. When baby arrives, message me as soon as possible so we can schedule our session.
An ideal studio newborn session is best planned for the first 6-14 days of life. At this age, babies are usually still sleepy and naturally curled up. This stage is most conducive to achieving the sweet sleepy poses newborn studio photography is known for. Older babies may still be photographed and look just as sweet, however some poses may not be possible.
Your baby's safety is always my top priority during a session. I take every measure possible to ensure a safe, clean and comfortable environment. During sessions I will demonstrate safe posing, constant supervision and utilize a spotter when necessary. I've also completed newborn photography safety courses and have a background in EMS.
My newborn studio sessions are full service, meaning I supply everything needed for baby from a photography standpoint. This includes wraps, outfits, props and accessories. Sessions take thoughtful planning, so if there is something specific you'd like to incorporate in your session, please let me know in advance.
I am currently offering studio sessions Monday through Friday.
Absolutely! Two of the packages I offer include parent & sibling photos.
Family and sibling photos will be taken at the beginning of the session, and someone must be available to take your child/children home afterwards, as children do not tolerate the environment and length of sessions well. I do my best to achieve beautiful sibling photos, but it is important to manage expectations with young children.
Newborn studio sessions require time and patience. Typically, a session will last 2-4 hours depending on baby's general disposition, how frequently they need to feed, time it takes to settle, and how receptive they are to specific poses etc.
The goal is a happy and relaxed baby, so taking breaks to feed and soothe as needed and maintaining a calm environment is key.
For parents and siblings, warm and neutral attire photographs beautifully.
Avoid clothing with logos, busy prints and graphics that can be overpowering and distracting.
I supply wraps and accessories for your baby.
Cohesive, monochromatic outfits are timeless and allow your family to effortlessly stand out as subjects.
Once your photos are ready, a proof gallery will be sent so you can select your choice of photos depending on the package you purchased. If interested, additional photos may be purchased individually or you can upgrade your package to the next collection.
